is this watch safe to take for rock climbing, swimming, weight lifting?

As a rock climber, I can tell you that no watch is save for rock climbing. The glass will always end up scratched against the rock. If it is acrylic, like this one, it is even worse. If you insist on rock climbing with a watch in you wrist, start with a G-Shock, as their glass is more protected and if you have no money buy a Casio AE-1500WH, which has a plastic protection around the glass. For the rest of the outdoors and sports activities you mention, and many more you do not, this watch will cope with mostly everything. Swimming: it is waterproof at 100m, which is the minimum necessary for swimming and pressing the bottoms in the water. For any other sport or outdoor activity, this watch is a pure digital Casio, that means it has no moving parts. Thus this watch will be save for such sports and activities. However, all these requirements are also covered by the Casio AE-1500WH, which also has a lot of plastic protection, so I would buy a Casio AE-1500WH for the same price as this one for what you say you need.
